Surgent Spring Regatta - April 22, 2007

Beautiful weather with light winds greeted the six schooner captains
and their models. Herb Jones, Buck McClellan, Marty Hayes, Richard
Rogers, Al Suydam, and yours truly took part in the days racing.
Nearly all the firsts went to Al with the seconds and thirds evenly
distributed among the rest of the pack. Buck sailed well in the
morning and might have garnered more of the top places if he didn't
have to leave early. The pot luck lunch was abundant and delicious
as usual.

Calvert Marine Museum - September 30, 2007

Had a great turn out for this event, ten schooners in all including
captains and many spouses. Dave and Sue Querin came in all the way
from Ohio! The weather was beautiful with enough breeze to have 10
races. Butch Garren sailed his new sharpie with sexy "violet" sails
and black hull earning her the name Victorias Secret for the day.
Sharpies swelled the ranks with seven in all.
