White Haven - Gloucester Fishing Schooner

The White Haven is the oldest model in the Schooner Society, built in the 1930's by the father of Herb and Robert Jones. The White Haven was originally built as a free sailing model, but was outfitted for radio control by Herb Jones in the mid 1990's. The hull has exceptional lines and glides through the water with little effort. Thanks to a very heavy keel relative to its size, the White Haven can sail well in most conditions.
The White Haven uses a pair of servos to control the jib sheets, allowing the use of overlapping jibs on both tacks.
