The trick will be to make the hull with less seems as possible less welding needed or if you do go with the meccano method make sure you go with plated bolts Aluminium and steel do not like each other you may wont to have a bead of silicone between overlapping seems when bolting together so you can get the water tite affect  best of luck Aahz Happy building Rob Currie

Yes sir, 1.60 a lb. Titanium is actually easier to get but it's
8.00 a lb.

I really would like to get good at it someday but I don't think
now is the time. :)
