And I don't think Balsa wood would be a good idea. My limited experiance
with it is that it's as weak as wet paper. Most people here seem to use
plywood, some use aluminum and steel, and I'm using straight up fiberglass.
These things weight quite alot, and since the hull is the chassiss, it
should be very strong and heavy.

Tim,
Welcome to the funhouse. We have a great deal of
how to articles on our site. First, pick a vehicle to
build.Boxy tanks are more straightforward and easier
to build than curves or compound angles. The rest is
fairly easy, ask Chris in Australia, built his in
about 8 months.
